Everyone Needs Water

Your body cannot survive without it.

No water, no life.

You feel thirst, and your body tells you something is missing.

But there is another kind of thirst.

Not in your mouth.

In your soul.

A Different Kind of Thirst

You can have:

a stable job

people around you

distractions

achievements

And still feel empty.

Still restless.

Still guilty.

Still searching.

Why?

Jesus Spoke About This

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.”

— John 7:37

Jesus was not offering physical water.

He was saying that something inside us is dry.

And only He can satisfy it.

Why Are We Thirsty Inside?

The Bible says:

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

— Romans 3:23

We have all turned away from God in our own way.

Sin separates us from Him.

And when we are separated from the source of life, we feel it.

That emptiness.

That guilt.

That quiet unrest.

What Can We Do About It?

On our own?

Nothing.

We can try to be better.

More disciplined.

More religious.

More moral.

But effort does not remove guilt.

Religion does not erase sin.

Good works cannot reconnect us to a holy God.

The Bible says our best efforts still fall short.

“No one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by works...”

— Romans 3:20

What Did God Do About It?

“God shows His love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

— Romans 5:8

Jesus lived without sin.

He died in our place.

He rose again.

Not to start a religion.

To bring you back to God.

His Promise

“Whoever drinks the water I give will never thirst.”

— John 4:14

He offers forgiveness.

A new heart.

Peace with God.

Eternal life.

As a gift.

How Should You Respond?

God’s invitation is clear:

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters… without money and without price.”

— Isaiah 55:1

It begins with faith —

recognizing that you cannot save yourself,

a change of heart and mind about your sin

and about who Jesus truly is,

and placing your full trust in Jesus.

To believe in Jesus means

to trust that He alone can rescue you

from the consequences of sin —

the separation between you and God.

It means relying on what He has done for you,

not on your own efforts to earn acceptance.

It also means choosing to let Him lead your life —

not just accepting Him as a helper in times of need,

but as the One you are willing to follow.

So here is the question:

God’s invitation is clear:

Will you come to Jesus and receive the life only He can give?

If your answer is yes, you can talk to Jesus and say something like this:

“Lord, I confess I am a sinner; and I cannot fix myself. I believe Jesus died for me and rose again. I receive Him as my Savior and Lord. Please help me live my life your way starting today. Amen.”

Not magic words.

Just an honest heart turning to Him.

What happens if you say Yes?

“To all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

— John 1:12

You are not just forgiven.

You have eternal life.

You are welcomed into God’s family.

You become His — a child of God.

You will not be the same person anymore!

You are not alone.

If you prayed

If you have questions

If you’re unsure but curious

We would love to talk.
